I’m Elizabeth Beese, a technical editor and illustrator who helps quilt designers produce patterns their customers can trust.
My goal is simple: to make sure your patterns are accurate, complete, and easy to follow — so quilters can enjoy the process, whether they’re stitching a quick weekend project or crafting an heirloom quilt.
With a unique blend of quilting experience, mathematical precision, and attention to detail, I take care of the technical side — math checks, editing, and illustrations — so you can focus on the creative parts of your business you love most.

Services
Technical Editing
I check every number and measurement in your pattern, double-checking yardages, diagram details, fabric color/name consistency, and pressing directions and provide you with a PDF of the suggested changes.
Diagram Illustration
I have drawn step-by-step illustrations in Adobe Illustrator for over 400 hundred quilts. Starting with a photo and some measurements from you, I will draw diagrams to help your customer see at a glance how the quilt is put together.
Pattern Writing & Layout
I can also manage the entire process, from pattern writing to illustration to final layout, creating print-ready and downloadable pattern PDFs.
